Three Years

It’s taken me a few days to write about this wee one’s birthday.  So much has been happening, and I have had so much on my mind.

Her birthday each year is such an inner celebration for me.  Her birthday marks life and miracles and a total and complete change.

Everything I used to be changed after she was born.  Her new life marked a dramatic change of heart and a completely new life for me, as well.

And this week, as it seems that everywhere we look, miracles are happening, it has been so fitting to celebrate her birthday and to remember how much mercy has been extended us.

I don’t want to waste it!

As I tucked her in that night, I couldn’t help but throw my arms around her and kiss her funny little face.  I am so grateful.
