Trust

So much happiness seems to lie in trust.

Trust that everything will be alright.

Trust that there is a path of joy laid out in front of you.

Trust that you will find it.

Trust in each other.

Trust in your children…

Like the child who can be a wild toddler one moment, but who shushes her older sisters the next, when she naturally feels they are on holy ground.

Like the children who instinctively remove their shoes, without prompting from you.  Just because they feel they should.

The less I try to control my life, and the more I learn to trust, the happier I become.

I think it’s because the beauty, holiness, and light shines through.

When I find trust rather than control or fear, I see each part of my life with hope and faith rather than feelings of unfairness or frustration.

It’s amazing how much changes with trust…seeing things as they are.

Earth’s crammed with heaven,
And every common bush afire with God:
But only he who sees, takes off his shoes.
