Easter

This Easter was probably one of the more memorable Easters we have ever had.  It was bittersweet.  Weighty decisions and difficult news mingled with joy and peace.

I’ve been thinking a great deal these past few days about Easter and why we celebrate it.

In the midst of all that’s on my mind this weekend and everything I am trying to figure out today, I find that I am filled, overall, with so much gratitude for this knowledge: Christ lives.  He is God’s Son.  He is my Savior, and yours.  He loves us.

That knowledge makes everything right.  All of us, each and every one, are so very blessed, more than we can comprehend.

I think this year more than any other, I more deeply understand the joy to be found in the words, “He is not here, for He is risen!”  Everything is overcome in Him.

This is beautiful.  I hope you’ll watch.

Trying to take Easter pictures on Saturday turned out to be ridiculous after just a few minutes.  Trying to get five young children to all smile at once should be an Olympic event.  :)

Other activities proved more fruitful for happiness.

I hope your Easter was joyous.  I hope you know just how loved you are.  Blessed am I.  Blessed are we all!
