Ummmm…

Today our two-year-old had an accident on the kitchen floor. I didn’t see it happen, but saw the puddle a few minutes after the fact. I went and checked panties for the culprit (yes, the 2-year-old was wearing the bad luck panties).

When I asked her if she’d had an accident, she gave me that silly smile and said she had. :) I asked her, to give a gentle reminder, what we’re supposed to do if we need to go potty.

She looked at me, thought for a minute, and said, “Ummmm, be nice?”

I think she’s learning early that there are a few standard answers that work for just about anything! :)
