Outcry

Repeatedly, we see that unless there is an “outcry” from the people, very little is done by those in power.

Congo is something I will care about and fight for till the atrocities end.  According to public health researcher Amber Peterman, it is estimated that 1152 women are raped in the DRC every day.  That’s four, every 5 minutes.  That means that there are already over three million rapes in the Congo.

ENOUGH.

Want to join the outcry?  It can’t be any easier this week.  As a small band of people stand in the cold in DC this week, protesting outside the State Department, trying to get someone to pay attention, you can add your voice from the comfort of your own home.  Take a picture.  Simple as that.  Find out more at Outcry for Congo‘s FB page.

Look at those amazing girls learning so much compassion from their amazing Mama. First time in a week I have been able to catch up on blogs. I started with yours cause it is always such a reminder to value the moments.
